Peel To Perfection
Many peels can offer skin improvement in a single treatment. What skin improvements ? fine lines, wrinkles, hydration, sun damage , scarring and acne. Of coarse never having a peel can sound a bit scarey. Essentially, it is a form of exfoliation. Chemical peels jumpstart the skin’s natural process of rejuvenation. With that being said, for your first treatment you want to start with something a bit milder before moving into a real peel treatment.
Enzymes or chemicals. Both offer exfoliation of skin cells to varying degrees, leaving skin brighter and smoother and better prepared to accept hydration. But which one is best for your skin’s health? Well, it depends! Here, I’ll break down the basics of each.salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and lactic acid.
Chemical peels can provide a variety of results, depending on the strength of the treatment. These peels can be superficial , medium or deep in strength . In addition should be prescribed by a Physician or very qualified Esthetician. Starting superficial requires really zero downtime , medium will have some peeling skin and should plan to be out of sun a week or more, to deep requires some downtime and no sun for up to 4-6 weeks.
Enzyme peel offer a more gentle solution that can be incorporated into a regular skincare regimen. These treatments can speed up natural chemical reactions in the skin that renew skin cells while exfoliating dead cells.
My opinion every women should be doing at least 3-6 peels a year . I love this anti-aging treatment.
